Your "thoughts and prayers" are meaningless. It's becoming the biggest empty gesture we have. That is not how you respond to a tragedy. We need meaningful dialogue and legislation about gun control now. Prayers aren't fixing this. Legislation will. It's time to tell the NRA to go fuck themselves and where they can shove their A+ list. If not now, when is it the right time?

(4,483 posts)that interest in these shootings seems to begin and end with "thoughts and prayers." I too am fed up with "thoughts and prayers." "Thoughts and prayers" may help onlookers like us digest what happened, but they don't do shit to help the people wounded and killed, and they do nothing to prevent this from happening again and again. I'm with the OP--screw thoughts and prayers.
