Polls show no other group in the U.S. supports the Jewish state more than evangelicals – not even American Jews. Israel can count on their unstinting support in Washington, and Netanyahu recognizes the power of their backing as he faces multiple criminal investigations that could drive him from office.

“Millions and millions of Americans cheering him and donating money to Israel sends an image that is very powerful to the Israeli public,” said Jonathan Rynhold, a Bar-Ilan University political scientist who has studied the evangelicals’ relationship with Israel.

1. Evangelicals created a theory...

...that after the third...technically fourth, temple was built, the tribulations would occur, then rapture, then the return of Christ. So they are trying to "foment" prophecy. Guess they don't have too much faith in God to enact these things....

Which brings me to my other point, it's a theory, developed by evangelicals in the USA and England during the 18th century. Prior to that, everyone would have laughed their asses off about another temple build and Christ returning because of it. In fact, after the Roman Empire "converted" to "Christianity", the temple mount was used as a dump...as a symbol to the failed Jewish Religion in their view. It was the Muslims who restored it to significance...ironic isn't it?

So...for the next temple to be built, the Muslims have to be removed....despite that genetic testing has concluded that Palestinians are actually Jewish in descent and in a number of cases, are more Jewish than some of the European Jews migrating to Israel...but don't tell an Israeli or Palestinian that, they go ape shit. Despite that their are records from the Ottoman Empire where they required Jewish villages to convert to Islam...or the fact that, no, the Roman Empire did not evict all of Jewish Faith...only those in revolt, the rest were allowed to remain...hell, they needed them to grow olives, make olive oil, grapes, wine, etc. to sell to the troops.

But to Bibi and his right wing assholes, they want control of the entire land that resembles King David's "conquest"...even if it means removing their own kin who happen to be in a different religion.
