Obama's favorite GS cookies??? He has good taste!

He can kiss the Tagalong voters goodbye. President Barack Obama on Monday revealed that his favorite Girl Scout Cookies are Thin Mints—an announcement that generated a boo or two from a rowdy crowd at a town hall-style rally in Cincinnati.

After questions on gay rights, environmental protection and how he planned to help small businesses, Obama took a question from a young girl named Julie, who piped up with "what's your favorite Girl Scout cookie?"

"I've got to say, this is one of the toughest questions," the president said. "I've got to say I'm pretty partial to those mint, uh…" Most of the crowd laughed, clapped and cheered, but at least one person booed.

"That's just me! I didn't meant to create controversy. Did you hear there was somebody booing?" Obama said with a chuckle. He located the boo-er and said, "You had a different opinion. What are you, oatmeal?" Peanut butter, came the answer. "Peanut butter is quite good too, but I'm going with the mint," the president replied.

added to the race. Mitt Romney is going to try and one up President Obama.

Romney: "Even Obama's cookie choices are wrong! Can this guy get one thing right? Wrong for cookie's and wrong for America! When I'm President I'm going to outlaw Thin Mints. No more Thin Mints for anyone, those cookies need to come off the market! China and India doesn't like them anyway!!"

I think they lasted a total of two days.

Sure, he may be furry and lovable, but as long as you host him, you'll never get any cookies.

Second, you need a Girl Scouts home delivery right now. Or check the local supermarkets for their cookie sales out front.

Aerows deserves cookies! Aerows should not be disappoint!

I nearly fell out of the chair over that one, pinboy3niner. That's a DUzy

Can't help it. I love the cookie monster in question, since I am related to them. The cookie monster in question also hides treats in the egg container in the refrigerator so that they are "hidden" (not like I'm a cook and didn't know where they all were, anyway).

When my sister and her husband (another cookie monster) comes in the next week, he will raid the egg carton area *again* much to my delight and the resident cookie monster's dismay, and eat the treasure trove of sugar rush things in there.

I think just letting that situation sit, informing brother-in-law where the goods are as an aside, will be proper revenge. There won't be a bite of anything sweet in the house after he's done

Oh, and he eats all the pecans, pistachios and peanuts that are in reach. I will make *SURE* he can find all of them

My pistachio stash is hidden well.

We bought four boxes from my secretary's daughter.
They were gone in three days. My husband uses our exercise regimen to justify such indulgences.

I don't demand much. I asked "Hey, what happened to the Girl Scout cookies?"

Apparently, I was the last one to know they had been decimated by a horde of sugar hungry zombies. LMAO.

I swear, next year? I'm going to hide a box so that I can savor them for like 4 months by eating them two at a time while tantalizing those that ate my cookies before I could. It will probably last about 4 days of hording, because I can't seem to keep anything like that around.

I usually relent. LOL.

Yes, Thin Mints are the most popular variety, closely followed (at least in my experience) by Do-Si-Dos.

Some years during distribution I could literally have half a wall filled with Thin Mints cartons.
