I have never figured out how christians in this country have attached themselves so much to Trump. Guy who has had multiple marriages, settled fraud cases, said "grab em by the p***y". I truly believe all his prayer meetings he has is to solidify the base not so much out of a personal belief. Now Pence I would get all the love for him, but Trump, dont get it.

Because you would VERY quickly find out how many liberals and non-faux-Christians in this country own guns, and how little they think of you.

The last Civil war was all about slavery and being able to keep owning other humans and treat them like dumb animals. Very much supported by a huge swath of Christians and their clergy.

Nothing in their Bible prohibits slavery. Rather, it demands they take slaves as spoils of war.

their idea of, "Slavery is a God-given right." And that dark-skin people are on this earth to serve them, the more "superior" white people.

Of course, the reality was the wealthy plantation owners (who fancied themselves as privileged aristocrats) who also owned at least 20 slaves, were made exempt from conscription.

Once again, rich man's war, poor man's fight.

Unfortunately, it seems that "Christians" in name only come in many flavors.

Some not very pleasant.

Peace on earth, and goodwill towards men seems to be a foreign concept to some of these offensive "flavors".
