I Am Convinced GOP/Trump Are Now On War Footing Against Dems, Progressives & Left.

We have a brewing civil war heating up over the pardon. The GOP talking points is about creating more racial resentment and even a race war by 2018. It is about taking out the Democrats and the left in support of Trump and his (their) agenda. The CNN kerfuffle signals a more aggressive, racist and no holds barred agenda.

They want to shatter the civility in the country because they see it as a way to complete unquestioned power. They will find a way to blame Democrats for what ever bad happens. Even now the Texas governor is positioning the situation for blaming the Democratic mayor and Democrats for NOT evacuating. The Democrats would be blamed whether there was an vac or not. It is guaranteed we would be seeing bodies strewn all over the highways as people BECAME TRAPPED.

The GOP and Trump are already setting the stage to politicize this situation.

Even on-site storm reporters were hinting at an "incompetent mayor." The Fox anchor even brought up Katrina and how bad Ray Nagin was at disasters. FAUX NEWS- always obedient GOP trumpistas.

Look at how they blockaded Merrick Garland and moved to strip the governorship of power in North Carolina when Roy Cooper won. This problem goes way beyond Trump. Trump is just the most visible manifestation of how despicable the modern Republican Party has become but they have been playing this dirty game for decades, at least since the 1990s when the GOP clearly had a vendetta for Bill and Hillary Clinton and right-wing talk radio promoted an extreme, often irrational form of conservatism.

At this point in time it's the GOPs who are the blame for what is happening and it will continue because of a-holes that are the majority in their party. What the GOPs have is money, media, and rigging. Get control of the violations of voting civil rights, which suppression occurred over countless states, and people realizing that Blacks was a main target for voter purging and the nonsense that they did not turn out bullshit and better we understand the extent of such rigging as well as voter riggings at the state level.

When GOPs claim voter fraud, look no further than them. They are masters at cheating at any cost.

Just as they have done continually since Richard Nixon's inauguration in 1969. There has been no letup on their part, it's just a bit louder now. The civility in the country was shattered long ago, except that the Democrats have continued to try to be civil to the Repukes (I refuse to call them GOP; there is nothing "grand" about them) while a scumbag puke from South Carolina shouted "you lie!" to the President of the United States during the State of the Union address. There is no depth of depravity to which they will not sink, no lie left unsaid, no blame not mis-directed. Yet the Repuke base is (deliberately) stupid enough to believe that the 4,000,000 citizens of Houston could have been evacuated in two or three days' time.

You are exactly right. They think that their time has come to foment a civil war against Democrats, Progressives, and the left, and they will come armed with automatic weapons. The Democrats, I'm afraid, will, as always, turn against each other, and attempt to placate the Repukes with negotiation and compromise. Where is Franklin D. Roosevelt when we need him?

again in politics.

Same with the Republicans who were caught sending raciest emails, the Republican who did the "pray the president dies" blog. They should have been drummed out of office over that horrible crap.

take pipeline protesters for one example- some Native Americans are still sitting in the local jails.

Or the disabled people who sat days outside Republican offices to protest Rs wanting to kill ACA health insurance for Americans. They got arrested charged with crimes, paid fines.

And Rs still are ruining ACA.

The GOP is more open about their racism. They have normalized the attack on minorities, Jews, LGBT et al. And they are becoming more openly strident. Since the pardon they are more aggressive in their talking points and just plain blunt about implying that the left is nothing but a bunch of violent leaning anti American terrorists.

It is a back lash against Trump protesters. And it is likely to get even more ugly There is just a very different tone.

This is why a lot of people have been frustrated with the DNC. They don't seem to realize that the Republicans aren't playing; they're battling and they're winning.

The GOP is inciting its base to put it in a rage. When you see armed militias and armed individuals in the area things have gone to a new level. Charlotte may have been just the beginning.

Trumps; behavior and speeches and pardon are a signal that they will give racism and discrimination and violence against minorities the norm. The pardon is really a signal that violations of civil rights will go unpunished.
