1. He has to be the bride at every wedding, the corpse at every funeral.

Literally on the weddings -- he drops into weddings held at his properties.

He's thirsty.

The faster we get everyone else realizing that is how narcissists roll, and there is no amount of attention that ever fills the howling void that is their broken egos, the faster the rest of us can move on and end this.

The next president will have to devote his entire Presidency just to get us back to where Obama left us.

6. ... It's a minor advantage of being the child of two narcissists.

It doesn't depress me. It infuriates me and makes me spitting, raging, incandescently, focused angry, but depression is letting them win. I have enough oppositional defiance left from adolescence that I can't let that happen.

I've had practice all my life with this. I didn't have any denial or bargaining or mourning. I'm getting tired, but every new thing pokes a little more fury.

It's going to be hard. But reconstruction is always more difficult and exacting than destruction. This is the way it goes. And sometimes, it's easier to make a lot of huge changes all at once when we have no choice, than to try to do things incrementally.

comes after "the bride", but before " the corpse"

You'd think it was said about him, but apparently we've had presidents as narcissistic (but far more intelligent and accomplished) before. Teddy Roosevelt, as described by his brilliantly witty and eccentric daughter, Alice Longworth Roosevelt.

She wrote bon mots that are almost Tweetish, but alas, often longer than 140 characters.

I'm not sure I'd put TR in the narc category. He had ISSUES, but I'd put him more in the attention deficit plus way too much privilege and no good emotional strategies for grief and loss (which is more the product of being an American Victorian).

took over Franklin and Eleanor's wedding, leaving the bride and groom by themselves in one room, while he swept the guests and press away with him to another. I think he qualifies.

He can pet alligators. Immune to venom of coral snakes and copperheads. Handle downed power lines. Emerge unscathed from raging torrents. Because Presidents have those powers for all he knows. Just turn him loose astride a feral hogzilla!

By the time of his next rally it will be the biggest hurricane in history -- according to all the best experts -- and only he could have done anything meaningful, because Obama hated America, Clinton is Satan, and he is bold, decisive, and brilliant.
