As the population grows so does the demand for affordable housing and everything gets paved over, so where does the water go? Regulations get cut to allow corporations to build in risky areas because greed and profits come before people. Add in climate change with wetter weather, heat, and more frequent, more intense storms.

Obama had the foresight to recognise the problem and try to mitigate the risk to people, but Trump, ignorant, petty, vengeful and shortsighted, will never be in his league.
