I've never understood why any single occupancy bathroom would be designated this or that, since only one person is in there.

I do not understand the desire some have for wanting all or most multiple stall bathrooms for everyone. Not because of transgender folks, they should use the restroom they identify as, but because I think most men and women do not want to poop next to each other. I imagine it would be a nightmare for high schoolers to come out of a stall after taking a huge poop only to see that cute girl or guy they like standing there at the sink having heard and smelt everything.

Well, that's certainly one approach. I guess the only problem would be if the business or school is large enough to accommodate multiple people needing to use the restroom at the same time.
