Real Time/HBO guest Matt Welch from Reason.com misrepresents

the impact climate change has on hurricanes.

He said it had no effect, I am pretty sure that is what he said. Nobody fact checked him in real time, so to speak.

Cant copy paste, but scientists are not saying hurricanes are specifically and directly changed by climate change, because that data is not in yet, but the effect of hurricanes certainly is, the damage, the rain, etc.

This is the kind of intentional misrepresentation you hear on fox news all the time, where you get half the story.

I dont see anybody else anywhere calling this out, maybe it is out there. But his brief comment, which is very misleading, is the kind of thing that does tremendous damage to that thing we call "the truth."
