Trump’s logic gets destroyed at White House briefing: Why shut down govt over border wall if Mexico is paying?

Reporters grilled White House press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders on Thursday over why President Donald Trump had threatened a government shutdown over border security funding.

At a press briefing, ABC News chief White House Correspondent John Karl noted that Trump had “promised over and over” that Mexico would pay for a border wall. “So why is he now threatening a government shutdown if Congress won’t pay for it?”

“He campaigned on the wall. He won on talking about building a wall. And he’s going to make sure that that gets done and he’ll continue to fight for that funding and ensure that it takes place,” Sanders replied.

Later in the press briefing, Urban Radio Networks reporter April Ryan asked how a government shutdown over the border would affect the economy. “If there is a government shutdown, people could be laid off for a moment or some people could lose their jobs,” she noted.

Let's not forget his famous comments in 2005:

"There is no doubt that Mexicans, filled with dignity, willingness and ability to work, are doing jobs that not even blacks want to do there in the United States"

Of a thousand mile long casino.

Trump and his Russian friends could launder all their own dirty money building it, not the taxpayers. Trump can slap his name on it, and call it a win.

On second thought, build the wall, bring all the Mexicans over to our side, and put Trump and his co-conspirators on the other side.

Then throw away the key.

Spoken with the la-de-dah attitude of someone whose job isn't in danger, who won't be laid off, who won't miss a paycheck, who won't miss a meal, who won't be able to take her sick kid to a doctor, and who won't have to worry about where the money for rent is going to come from.

As I recall, Ms. Sanders, Jesus had some pretty harsh things to say about people like that. So did Isaiah, Jeremiah, Micah, Hosea, Ezekiel, Zephaniah, Paul, James, and Peter.
