White House calls GOP senator's remark about Trump's competence 'outrageous'

The White House on Thursday ripped GOP Sen. Bob Corker (R-Tenn.) for questioning President Trump's stability and competence, calling it a "ridiculous and outrageous" claim.

Last week, Corker lamented that Trump “has not yet been able to demonstrate the stability, nor some of the competence, that he needs to demonstrate in order for him to be successful.”

When asked about the criticism, press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders swatted aside the harsh words from the chairman of the Senate Committee on Foreign Relations.

"I think that’s a ridiculous and outrageous claim and doesn’t dignify a response from this podium,”  Sanders said Thursday at the White House briefing.

Corker made his remarks at a Rotary Club meeting back in his home state of Tennessee days after politicians on both sides criticized Trump for his reaction to the violence at a white supremacist rally in Charlottesville, Va., where a counterprotester died.

Talk about "ridiculous and outrageous", Sanders needs to be better informed.

Huh?

Shouldn't that be "I will not dignify that claim with a response"?

I think it's Huckster who's supposed to be doing the non-dignifying, not the claim.

this more and I have noticed an increase in the reporting of this subject since then. He told CNN that the job of the media and reporters is to get the GOP in the House and Senate and other govt. officials to admit for the record that 45 is "not stable" (aka CRAZY). Once they do this the ball will start rolling faster. Both MSNBC and CNN have been bringing this up a lot more and I hope they continue.
