Roger Stone, one of President Trump’s oldest and most-trusted advisers, warned that any politician who voted to impeach Donald Trump “will endanger their own life.”

However Mr. Stone is confused if he thinks it is a reason to avoid impeachment. It is actually a reason that doing it becomes more essential.

Armed rebellion is destructive toward civil rights in Democracy. The greater extent to which what Mr. Stone states is true, the more imperative bringing this to an abrupt end becomes.

It is my greatest hope that there is no violence and that the tradition of a peaceful transition power remains intact. This peaceful transition of power is the genius of the American experiment in self-government. I hope it is not destroyed, or at minimum, that it is quickly restored.

I've spent years trying to further my ideals by peaceful methods, and I currently plan to continue doing that for as long as I can, because violence seems to me a sucky way to settle political differences

But if you want to insist on violence, then you might move me (and a lot of others) down the road in a rather different direction, one step at a time

A violent response to legitimate political process is, in my view, an attempt to overthrow the government by force, and I would expect it to be met with appropriate criminal charges.
