Cancellations at Trump properties mean he's "potentially out anywhere from $2.1 to $4.3 million"

NOTE: You will see an obvious typo in the Raw Story article below, which I fixed in my thread title but left intact in the article.

Trump’s inability to distance himself from white supremacists is costing him millions

http://www.rawstory.com/2017/08/revealed-trumps-inability-to-distance-himself-from-white-supremacists-is-costing-him-millions/

On Thursday, the Bethesda Hospital Group canceled a luncheon at Trump’s Mar-a-Lago resort in Palm Beach, FL, making it the 18th group to cancel an event at a Trump property.

According to Share Blue Media, since Trump badly bungled the administration’s response to white supremacists who marched on Charlottesville, VA and killed 32-year-old Heather Heyer, charities have been pulling out of hosting their events at his properties in a veritable stampede.

“A week ago, the renowned Cleveland Clinic announced it was canceling its 2018 fundraiser at Mar-a-Lago, and The Washington Post reports that the number of charities that have abandoned Trump is now 17, all coming after Trump described white supremacists and neo-Nazis as ‘fine people,’” wrote Oliver Willis, who filed before news broke about the Bethesda group.

With groups routinely forking over $125,000 to $275,000 to host a gala at the so-called “Winter White House” and other Trump resorts and properties, the president is potentially out anywhere from $2.1 dollars to $4.3 million.

The Trump Files: The Easiest 13 Cents He Ever Made

http://www.motherjones.com/politics/2016/08/trump-files-spy-magazine-prank/

Spy correspondent Julius Lowenthal wanted to know just how cheap some of the city’s richest figures were. So he set up a company, called the National Refund Clearinghouse, and sent letters with checks for $1.11 enclosed, “for services that you were overcharged for.” The letters went out to 58 “well-known, well-heeled Americans,” 26 of whom promptly cashed them. Curious as to how low they might go, Lowenthal sent those 26 “nabobs” a second refund check, for $0.64. This time, 13 people cashed them.

Finally, he sent those 13 respondents a check for $0.13. This time, only two people cashed the check. One was an arms dealer. The other was Donald Trump, whom the magazine identified as a “demibillionaire casino operator and adulturer.”

In 1990, Spy sent 13-cent checks to the world's richest people. Only two cashed them: an arms dealer & Donald Trump.

...people like Donald Trump don't do their own banking; they have someone process their mail and any checks are probably deposited in bulk.

Illegal and unethical, but Trump doesn't give a shit, and the morons who still support him will swoon when he tells them how he's a fantastic businessman who is actually saving them money.

But he knows that this gig is making him geometrically more money than what he is losing by pissing people off. Remember that he chose not to take a salary for this job; he didn't do that out of the kindness of his loving heart.

And this is why he will not leave office until he is dragged--literally kicking and screaming--from it.

Every time his brand is publicly exposed, disgraced, shunned it hits him in both his Pocketbook and his Ego. Nothing embarrasses this rich egomaniac but the endangerment of his brand, that's his pride and his fortune.
