So what if #45 said no more black people in the military. Would they have to follow him with that

too?

I can't believe he is just making this fucking proclamation about banning transgendered people in the military and everyone is supposed to follow his orders.

What if the jerk proclaimed that gay people were not allowed? Even though they all got the green light during the Obama administration would they have to now listen to Donny 2 scoops?

I think this guy is trying to break everything he can break just to break it. There is no rhyme nor reason, just destroy.

He can't go soon enough.

I think there may be some statutes or controlling Supreme Court rulings.

Or maybe it was only Truman's executive order?

3. What makes you think that not allowing gays is part of this?

Every time rules or bills or whatever they may call it there is always more than just one thing. I have suspected all of this time that this will include gays. I pretty much figure women are next on the list after gays and transgender.

I'll bet my last time he ordered the White House staff to burn any and all decor in any way used by the Obamas. Ferret Head probably even had all the light bulbs changed.

If Obama did it then it must be destroyed.

I'm telling you, Ferret Head is twisted up by racism. The man would nuke Hawaii if he though it would erase President Obama from history.

There are channels to go through and he was informed of them by the Joint Chiefs--in writing, as I recall.

He hasn't done a fucking thing about it. Of course.

Never mind the effect on military readiness and unit cohesion when 15,000+ Soldiers, Sailors, Airmen, Marines, and Coast Guard are removed from their posts because some Orange Shitgibbon has to take some heat off the investigation burning his ass.

8. News flash: Both of those are still legal.

Just because our marriages are recognized does not mean that the rest of our rights are recognized. Neither gender identity nor sexual orientation are (yet) protected classes.

That's one of the problems with employers (like mine) who started withdrawing domestic partnership benefits while discrimination is still legal. Some LGBT couples can't marry because doing so creates a public record - and invites discrimination against the non-employed partner.

Ex: Say my employer now only permits spousal benefits only for married LGBT couples. If my spouse worked for, say, Hobby Lobby we would be in a pinch if health insurance came though my employer (and - for example - covered a costly medication that is not covered by Hobby Lobby's insurance). We would have to choose between a publicly recorded marriage (which Hobby Lobby could easily find - and fire my spouse for) and accpting the inferior health care benefits from hobby lobby.

9. Hobby Lobby could fire someone if they find out they are gay? I guess I have been

under a rock about these things. I know their stance on gays is why I won't shop there but I actually didn't realize that they could fire a person just for being gay.

I guess we need better laws. And that won't happen until we get Democrats in office again.

That means that an employer (not just Hobby Lobby - but any employer) can fire you for any reason, or none at all - unless the firing violates the constitution (i.e. the person fired was in a protected class (race, gender, national origin)) or federal laws (age discrimination over 40).

Being gay, or transgender, are not yet recognized as protected classes.

At my last job I was not under contract and - literally - I could have shown up for work and been told I no longer worked there because they decided all brown-eyed workers had to go. After 13 years on the job. At my current job, I'm under contract - and now that I'm past the probationary period - they have to give me 6-months notice (but can still fire me without cause - and I'm at the senior administrative level in a university)

Most people believe their boss has to have a reason to fire them, but generally not. This is a particularly risky proposition for LGBT individuals - against whom there are still pockets of bigorty AND (unlike women and minorities, no protected class to prevent firing based on bigotry).

I have many Gay black friends and they have to remind me of this time and time again when we don't have blacks on our side with leaders standing up on TV etc.

I know we all stand together when we can , just speaking the truth. We are united regardless
