Last week, when the bi-weekly (and now apparently weekly) 'episodes' sends one looking for a solution, I did a little reading on the '25th'.
The process appears to be:
A majority of the cabinet, plus the veep, vote to relieve the pres for incapacity.
The pres can appeal to the combined House and Senate. A 2/3 vote is required to ratify the cabinet action.
If not ratified, the cabinet/veep can vote one more time, as before.
In this second elimination round, a vote to relieve the pres is automatically sent to combined House and Senate, again with a 2/3 super-majority required for removal of the pres.
If not removed, we start all over after the next 'campaign style' rally.
So, in the end, a combined House and Senate 2/3 super-majority is required. I just don't see this as viable given the current political climate.

(35,096 posts)The only option left is the "killer T cell" plan, drop all pretenses of "respect for the office" as in the office.

(35,096 posts)The office is infected - Putin on one side, Nazis on the other. We have to boycott any media figure that goes along with what Trump or any administration official says, we can't pretend to respect this office. It has nothing at all to do with Trump the man, but the metaphorical office, just to be clear.
Picture complete opposite of this from all levels of society and all players and this is the plan in action:

Hopefully in 2020, we can get a Presidential candidate who will work to regain the trust and respect of the American people.
