(25,720 posts)3. When the dewpoint is like 80 is it even possible to get sudden cooling of 15 degrees?
It barely cools 10 degrees all night

(53,342 posts)5. 10-15 degree difference in shade vs sun
My totally subjective opinion
Still muggy but not gawd awful when the sun isn't beating down

(25,720 posts)6. You were right! Despite high dewpoints in the 70s and only 60% eclipse
Our temp went from 93 to 88. After the eclipse was over, it started climbing back up again and we ended up with a high of 99 at 4:30.

It was going to be a bit hot here for me to sit outside. A 15 degree drop would make it tolerable. I had planned on videoing away from the sun the open sky, to see habitat changes - my property is sort of like a mock up rain forest slash wildlife habitat. Birds, turkeys, beavers, foxes, deer...I get them all on my property, some even jumping the fence into backyard -_-
