not he wins re-election in 2018.
3 likely scenarios to happen to Brown in 2018.
Scenario 1- Brown loses re-election by a narrow margin.
Putting Brown on the ticket will at best put OH in play but turn MI,PA,and WI into Democratic States.
Scenario 2- Brown wins re-election, Republicans win the OH Governorship.
This would be a tough call because Brown will be succeeded a Republican if he were to become Vice President.
Scenario 3- Brown wins re-election, Democrats win the OH Governorship.
There will be no problem putting putting Brown on the ticket.

(8,617 posts)Brown-D has been a member of US House and US Senate for a total of 25 years. Democrats should pick a DC outsider(Governor) or a US Senator in his or her first term.
Kamala Harris or Cory Booker as Presidential candidate and Sherrod Brown as Vice Presidential candidate will be like the Obama/Biden ticket.

Honestly I do. He's as plain spoken as a politician can be. When I say plain spoken I mean he speaks truth from the heart with us all in mind. No beating around the bush with him. Good Guy 100%
Sherrod Brown as President would make us Proud

The only people who would object are folks who only have one candidate they will support.

(8,617 posts)narrowly lost her seat in 2012 due to redistricting (Sutton-D and Rennacci-D were put in the same district-Rennacci-R narrowly won the 2012 OH-16CD US House Race) is the frontrunner for the 2018 Democratic nomination for Governor assuming Jennifer Brunner-D and Richard Cordray-D don't run. If Brunner-D or Cordray-D decide to run, Sutton-D should drop out of the Governors Race and run for the US House in OH-16CD-which is an open seat election since Rennacci-R is running for Governor.
Regarding the November General Election-Republicans have to choose between-DeWine,Husted,Rennacci, and Taylor.
Democrats chances of winning the 2018 OH Governors Race is based on how well Democrats do nationally.

A firebrand who spoke truth to power about what the last thirty-six years have done to workers would have had a chance.
It's about turnout.
Timid, deferential centrists can't inspire high turnout there-or anywhere else.

(13,390 posts)but I dislike hearing him say it so much that I only read his remarks. It's not my top priority, but I would rather have a president who I want to literally hear from. Especially after this unbearable one.
