(2,559 posts)I knew I'd seen this a while ago; thanks for the date on it.
It is priceless. Must have been a bit of a chore though to keep on blowing that big tuba during the entire march.

(17,515 posts)A dozen kazoo players with more exuberance than talent could add so much.
That was brilliant. Thanks for putting it out there. While we're at it, maybe a single trombone player.

(17,515 posts)Sadly, there simply was not enough room in downtown Charlottesville for the protest and counter protest that happened a week ago.

(82,849 posts)Their gait matches the tuba player's cadence. An oldie, but a goodie.

(36,493 posts)That being said, I was happy to see three Sousaphones present at today's protest even though the police didn't let them get close to the nimrods.

(10,144 posts)I showed it to my little girl and she roled her eyes appropriately. She thinks I am a lunatic for watching stuff like that and saying it is "great" so she'll watch it. Probably am....

(36,493 posts)Looks like she's mostly gone to ground. She's married, has two kids, and for all I know, she married a tuba player.
Stacy Hedger, Revealed
ERIC BARTON OCT 22, 2007
After publishing this blog entry on Wednesday about the famous Miss Douglas, Stacy Hedger, I got an e-mail from a Richard Dean of Austin, Texas. Dean, it seems, had done his homework on Miss Douglas. He found an entry for her on classmates.com from Douglas High School in Douglas, Arizona.
So I called the only Hedger in the book in Douglas, Arizona. Turns out its her dad. He gave me Stacys cell phone number. When I called on Thursday, she hadnt seen the video or heard that it was making the rounds on the Web. Since then, she googled herself and learned that the video has appeared everywhere from VH1 to Jimmy Kimmel Live.
After her research, we talked by phone. Turns out the video doesnt have a Kansas City connection. Still, because there are probably a few people out there who are curious about the real Stacy Hedger, I recorded this interview above. I agreed to leave off her married name from this article, mainly because shes this sweet mother of two from this small border town down in Arizona who doesnt need any more harassment. Beyond the harassment shes already gotten from her relatives. Eric Barton
(Unfortunately, the recorded interview fell down the rabbit hole.)
