You need the vice president and EIGHT cabinet officials to sign off on it first. And then if the president disapproves it, both the House and Senate need a two-third's majority to vote against the president.

If people think impeachment is hard, invoking the 25th amendment is even harder.

The first step would be getting Pence to stab him in the back, and so far, he's been nothing but staunchly loyal.

from office. He can petition approximately 90 days for reinstatement. Each time you need to have a 2/3rds vote in each House

It is the Walking Dead version of impeachment.

The only solution is to threaten his cash and even then, I am not sure.

He has a greater than 2/3rds chance of finishing his term.

Greater than 2/3rds is being low IMO. I'd put it at 90 percent, with a 9 percent chance he steps down because he's so miserable and a 1 percent chance of impeachment.

People don't like hearing this on DU, but the Democrats need to focus on dominating in 2018, and then building a strong candidate with a powerful, easy to understand message that can throttle Trump in 2020. That is by far, the most plausible way Trump leaves office.

health might lower the number. His response to a crisis might be key. If he is managed properly, he might leverage it to much higher poll numbers (see Bush II and 9/11). I am just not sure he is tempermentally able to do it.

I do agree that the focus should be on advancing candidates and policies. Look positive and not negative.

Unfortunately that did not work in the last election.

Getting the cabinet to invoke the 25th would only be to give "top cover" to the GOP. They could remove him from office without actually having to accuse him of significant crimes. Pence could take office under a supposition of stepping in for an "ailing" Trump. We'd have long discussions on Fox about dementia and health care. And they could pass the "Trump Memorial Tax Reform Plan".

If not then the House and Senate get to vote every 90 days under the 25th Amendment.

But the congress can impeach him and that ends the whole thing. They can gin up any minor "crime", blame it on his obvious medical problem, use his cabinets declaration as "evidence" and move it through the system.

compliant in their supporting roles to sing his praises and fluff up his ego with paons to his exalted majesty of being.

Just remember that video where every single person in Trump's cabinet recited odes to their Dear Leader, either because they willingly agreed to become stage props, or they were hostages in fear of their lives. My bet is on the former.
