If tRump were to resign, would Pence actually pardon him?

This assumes Pence doesn't resign, also. What benefit would it be for him. tRump would still be free to bad mouth everyone in the Repubican party and make life hell with him. Wouldn't it be better for Pence if tRump ended up in jail with no access to his twitter?

Yea, the only person who is in line who would be worse than McConnell is Jeff Sessions phleshdef Aug 2017 #11
Pence is just as bad as Sessions, if not worse. nt madinmaryland Aug 2017 #13
I disagree. Pence is really bad. Sessions is a disgusting waste of oxygen. phleshdef Aug 2017 #16

than a simple pardon. But unless Pence goes down too things won't be that much better if at all. Think president Ryan or president McConnell or president... the list is too long.

A person we have no idea whatsoever what is political thoughts are, if he even has any. He might actually be the best of the group listed, but one really never knows.

Far worse than tRump. As long as tRump is pResident, the Repubican party will be spintered and will not pass much of anything. Now if Pence becomes pResident, all bets are off.

When Ford pardoned Nixon his poll numbers dropped from 79 to 41 in one day and never recovered.

But the Republican base worships Trump and will remain worshipping him until the day they die so Pence will have to pardon him to retain any hope of getting votes from them.

Ostensibly, to help the nation "heal", but in reality, to save the GOP's sorry asses.

And then....Schneidermann's Silver Hammer is going to come down on Trumpy's head.

He can't win any elections any more so this is the only way he can cause his chaos on America
