He's right, though- we shouldn't lose our "history"...

So I'm thinking about starting a GoFundMe for the "Museum of Racist Traitor Losers."

We can put all the statues and plaques and flags and other shit commemorating the episode of a small elite of southern oligarchs convincing a whole lot of other southerners to commit treason in the name of racism, and then getting their asses whupped at the cost of more than 600,000 lives.

It IS important to remember history, after all.

helpfully,
Bright

Someone....ANYONE....should have been SCREAMING:

"Mr. President, what do you mean "YOU"? Sir? You just said "you are changing culture", sir, does that mean you no longer feel that you are an American citizen? Or does that mean that you believe in and see Americans in an "us"/"them" paradigm sir? Which Americans are you the President of?"

That fucking piece of racist shit NEEDS to answer for himself...he is disgrace and a waste of oxygen, but MAKE him stammer some more and expose that whole fucking party for the pandering, craven assholes that they are...

of Benedict Arnold. If you think we should keep the Confederates, you must think we should make one of B. Arnold.

Spent a lot of time in the south - liked most of it. Loved what Birmingham (yeah, that nasty place) did with the Civil Rights museum, got a ticket for free entry from where I worked, before it was officially opened.

But if I never see another Jeff Davis or R. E. Lee statue? I won't miss 'em.
