And not open it tonight. I'm waiting.
I'm going to wait to open it until the night Trump leaves office. Whether that be from stepping down, or the night he loses reelection in 2020.
Then, I'll crack it open, pour a little, and sip at it while I watch the news and smile.

(29,234 posts)no matter how he is removed from office... that is unless his diet does him in first.
His "2nd amendment people" comment was telling.

(8,056 posts)Although I still have that unopened bottle of champagne in my fridge from election night, which I'm saving for just that occasion, I still need a little Bourbon or gin on occasion to make it through evenings such as this. Or, wine will do.

(1,257 posts)Thinking about a ridiculously expensive bottle of Macallan....
Would not normally consider such a purchase, 'cause I ain't rich!
All due repsect to American Whiskey, but I hate bourbon, yech!
(Not unusual for Scotch enthusiasts)
Now an American small batch Rye, or a good Anejo Tequila... or maybe a Mezcal (Tequila is just a sub-genre of Mezcals ya' know.)
(Mexico is part of the Americas you know, and Amerigo Vespucci, although Italian is the namesake of America)
God, whatever... had a shot of Oyo Rye from Ohio a few moments ago, perhaps I am a bit lubricated.
I WILL FUCKING TOAST HIS DEPARTURE!!!!!!!
Cheers!

(253 posts)And it's chilling in the fridge for that same purpose. Once in awhile (tonight being one of those times) I text a picture of my hand reaching for the bottle to my kids. But sadly not yet.
