(8,656 posts)A lot of neo nazis i've ever come across had links to eastern europe, ex-yugo, germanic descended areas, this is bred into them through family. They brought it with them when families transplanted to the US.

(146,345 posts)who is wearing a swastika arm band? I'd like to know his name. I'd like to attach it to the photo and make it trend on Twitter. Maybe someone will send it to his employer...

(81,677 posts)Right Side Broadcasting, The "Unofficial Version Of Trump TV," Hires Racist YouTube Prankster "Joey Salads"
Salads: Youll Get Shot If You Steal A Niggas Food Stamp
Blog January 17, 2017 3:15 PM EST ERIC HANANOKI
Right Side Broadcasting Network (RSBN) has hired YouTube personality Joey Saladino, who produced a hoax video which purported to prove that the black community is very violent toward Trump supporters. Saladino, who also uses the moniker Joey Salads, has also tweeted racist remarks on his Twitter account, including that youll get shot if you steal a niggas food stamp and Facebook is for old people and niggers.
The Washington Post wrote in October that RSBN has been the unofficial version of Trump TV since last summer, streaming the Republican nominee's campaign events in all their unedited glory online. The Post noted that the fledgling outlet had received a boost of legitimacy when the billionaire's campaign teamed up with Right Side to produce pre- and post-debate analysis shows that streamed on Trump's Facebook page.
RSBN has been expanding its operations by hiring new personnel, including former Infowars reporter Joe Biggs, who has tweeted his approval of date rape, sexual violence, and punching women and transgender people. He also threatened to release revenge porn of a bitch who allegedly cheated on him. The network also features discredited anti-immigrant filmmaker Dennis Michael Lynch.
RSBN announced in January that it will begin airing The Joey Saladino Show and claimed that this guy is awesome. You will love this guy. On his January 6 show for RSBN, Saladino said that Black Lives Matter is worse than the KKK. They are the new KKK and "worse than" terror organization ISIS. On the January 13 edition of his RBSN show, he said that Black Lives Matter protests are started on lies.

(5,815 posts)Could easily be the person ahead of me in the check out lane---minus the hat and arm band, of course. That is part of the problem...they often walk amongst us and we never know it. I live in a part of Florida thst is mainly Republican (some of them on steroids) and am pretty sure that people with thinking and beliefs that match the Neo Nazi beliefs live, too. It is a VERY red, conservative area, with a fair number of Democrats, although we're outnumbered by a lot. (I am not suggesting that all conservatives are Neo Nazis, BTW.)
What I am saying is that without any doubt, some of those people secretly hold the views of Neo Nazis. They don't display their beliefs, but get them started talking about it and they reveal themselves. Sadly, they are the ones defending the people who swooped into Charlottesville and brought murder and mayhem with them. It genuinely frightens me that if an all out war of them against the rest of us who don't agree with them broke out, they are armed to the teeth and are prepared for even more mayhem and madness to prove a point.
The President took the stance that ALL protestors are equal and that even those who were peacefully demonstrating were the same as the Neo Nazis. How did I know he would do that even before the words came out of his mouth?? Because, he wants to muddy the water. Confuse the ones who barely keep up with events in the world. The ones whose sole source of "news" is Fox.
I have no idea where we go from here but retreating into silence sure ain't it. The spokesmen and women who are going to be the voice for truth and justice need to keep on speaking out. There has been a lot of brainwashing going on and if we don't fight back, they will win and the country we thought we were in will only exist in the history books.
P.S. I am not naive. The United States does not live up to our most heart felt ideals. Liberty and justice for all are pretty words that do not exist for all. But there have always been people who strived to make the words reality and sometimes they succeed. We cannot give up on the idea that there is a place on this earth where those ideals are codified and lived every day for every citizen. Maybe in reality that is naive, but it is what keeps a lot of us trying every day to make our world a better place and we can't stop now. In fact, now more than ever we need to steel our reserves and get in the fray for the long haul.

(8,363 posts)I visited friends in St. Augustine last week. Went to a neighborhood get together and was surprised to hear praise for anything Trump. Even when they talked about the recent destruction of their homes due to Hurricane Andrew, they prefaced their statements about climate change with "I'm not a liberal, but...." There seemed to be a lot of peer pressure to go along with the vibe. Men were bragging about their gun collections and current training sessions in the martial arts (sponsored by their employers). They seemed to be getting ready for for a civil war. I left the room for a moment and overheard someone say: "She's a Democrat." I felt intimidated.
