Um, don't they work for us? I mean, yes of course they can expel anyone they want, but those people are still technically employed by the US until WE fire them, correct?

even if it were not as the cartoon depicted, attacked from a foreign source.

If Trump just announced that while he was President, he would conduct all his business at his other hotels and resorts so no need for the White House and the WH staff (who leak!!). And during his term he would shut and lock the WH and lay off all the staff, and in so doing would save the taxpayer X amount of dollars. I'm sure he would be cheered for that. (Never mind that hosting events on his properties cost the taxpayer even more)
