If a Republican wants to get money out of politics

Then that Republican is my ally on that issue.

If Darth Vader wants Americans to have single payer healthcare, then he is my ally on that issue.

That's how politics works. All those fools who think that it matters one bit that Sanders isn't technically a member of the Democratic party, or that TH has one of his shows on a particular network, or that TYT once took a check from a Republican, think that the people here on DU aren't smart enough to recognize allies in our struggle for economic justice, our fight for healthcare, our campaign for human rights.

They think you are too stupid to recognize your allies.

They are trying to split our coalition, one little splinter at a time.

So, use your brains. Think about what people say, _and_ about who signs their paychecks. Recognize allies. Promote good policy, even if (especially if) it is coming from directions where bad policy usually comes.

TH has had a show on RT for what, like ten years? And yet every time I hear his show, I hear good policy that I agree with. Sanders has always been an independent. And yet he espouses good policy. That makes these people allies, especially on those specific issues.

Please don't be so dumb as to fall for this divisive nonsense. Think.

Russian propaganda led to the election of Donald Trump. Russia is NOT our ally. RT is Russian propaganda. Quit trying to legitimize them.

actions make someone an ally.

someone who wants without any action is merely a bystander whose motives could be window dressing
