The Real Danger
The real danger is that when this ordeal is over, and it will be over, there will be divisions that cannot be healed. The loss of trust in our system of government cannot be easily repaired.
The greatest challenge of the next leader of this country will be to bring us together. Our present leaders have partitioned our country into partisan faithfuls, unable to reach across the table for any type of agreement.
In my opinion, it could manifest itself in many different ways. Where we shop? Who we shop with? Where we vacation? Who we associate with? Who we talk to? It could affect the way we live our lives.
We have never had, in my lifetime, such a divisive leader as Donald J Trump. Nixon was close but never outwardly exhibited the sickness we are now enduring.
But we will endure. Someday it will be over. And we will have to put the pieces back together.
That is the real danger that our nation faces. The lack of justice and the lack of trust in our institutions has done considerable damage to our people and to our Constitution.
