I had a good talk yesterday at my County Fair with a bunch of folk gathered around the official County Democrats booth. That discussion was about the recent removal of yet another liberal voice from our radio waves up in this neck of the woods. Now just guess which radio talk show it is that the rabid right-wingnuts went after in order to prevent this rural area from hearing anything of a progressive nature?

Liberals, Progressives, solid (confirmed) Democrats up here in the wilds of the PNW are rightly pissed off that when we now tune our dials in to what was once the Hartmann program, all we hear is mindless podunk music. Yesterday, our little group discussed whether or not it would be worthwhile to register our disgust with TPTB, seeing as how the Sinclair Broadcasting conglomerate has already bought out one of the only local tv channels that ever aired any news of our far northern Western Washington area.

The Republicans are in the process of taking over this nation's airwaves, in case those who live in more urban sectors hadn't noticed. And, surprise surprise, eliminating long-time standards like Thom Hartmann's show has become one of their objectives. The Democratic Party in my county is aware, however, and we don't like it, not one bit.

Now, you can call my post "spamming" here, if you wish, but, just like you, I'd have to wonder why.
