Shredding is irrelevant.

I've seen a few comments here, but a lot on social media. And heard the chatter amongst my friends regarding theoretical shredding parties within the Trump fold. Whether we're talking about shredding paper or deleting electronic files doesn't matter. Because if they are doing this...it doesn't matter.

Financial transactions:
Multiple copies of paper documents exist in different locations. Have fun tracking all of them down to shred.
Paper documents are either print outs of electronic files or forms scanned and converted into electronic files. Have fun tracking all of them down to delete.

Emails:
Ha! They have a life of their own and you'll never know who all got copies of anything you've sent. Have fun tracking all of them down to delete. Or shred if someone printed a copy.

Memos:
See above.

"Paper trails" don't disappear these days. Oh sure, they can be obscured and possibly minimized to make it harder to find. But any ninny in the administration who thinks the delete key and a $99 shredder from Staples is going to save their miserable ass, is woefully deluded. So don't give the potential destruction of documentary evidence a second thought. Mueller's not losing any sleep over it, I'll bet you dollars to handcuffs.

Trump said he doesn't use email. He doesn't use computers. He had documents hand delivered during the campaign. This is one possible wrench thrown into getting proof of certain things, like his own involvement in collusion. No doubt there are other ways & other crimes to be found through financial records.

But I'm still holding out for audio/video. Just bust it wide open already. Some other country has to have intercepts. This isn't like Nixon. We can't afford to wait a year or two for an investigation to wrap up. We can't even afford months.

is that they had to originate somewhere and are subject to antiquated technology like photocopiers.

I'm also wondering if audio/video is going to constitute the most damning evidence.

I agree with you. We can't afford months.
