If they do there will be war on the earth. Once it starts there will be no stopping it. All nukes will be thrown and the end of mankind will be certain. Hopefully there is one cool head in the military chain of command... hopefully..

He's the duly-elected commander in chief. Elections, alas, have consequences. I agree with Warpy. I don't want to live in a post-apocalyptic world. I assume there are built-in fail-safe mechanisms in the nuclear chain of command, but the military will comply with orders. Warfighting is, after all, their only reason to exist.

All members of the military have a duty to not follow unlawful orders. It's drilled into every soldier.
