Blumenthal: I don't know why Trump is obsessed with me

Sen. Richard Blumenthal (D-Ct.) said Tuesday that he doesn't know what prompted President Trump's Twitter barrage against him, but says that the president is trying to distract from the special counsel investigation into possible collusion between his campaign and Russia.

"Our national security and the rule of law is at serious risk," Blumenthal said on MSNBC. "It is not about me. I can't explain the president's obsession with me or any of the other targets of his tweets."

Blumenthal was questioned by the hosts of MSNBC's "Morning Joe" about whether the tweetstorm was actually the result of decades-old bad blood between Blumenthal's family and Trump. Blumenthal denied this, and said he has "no idea" what's in the president's head.

"It's really not about me," Blumenthal told MSNBC. "I have no idea what's in the president's head, but I can tell you I'm determined not to be distracted."

in the Emoluments (spelling?) lawsuit against Trump. I think Trump is trying to tear him down to distract from that.

for the senate seat. I'm sure Trumpy is/was good friends with her, seeing as how he was breaking chairs over people's heads on the WWE for years, etc.

The issue about his vietnam service came up during that race, and again, I'm sure this is what Trump's little brain keeps returning to. From 7 years ago.

And now that he is leading the charge to get Trump's tax returns via emoluments lawsuits, Trump just recalls how he broke his friend Linda's heart.
