Trumpcare would make it even worse for them. And they continue to support him? We need to get passed TrumpTV and get to them. Researchers found the infant mortality rate for Appalachia to be 16 percent higher than the rest of the country & a life expectancy of 2.4 years less.

No matter the state they lived in, the people of Appalachia voted 95% GOP. The reason was clear, they were poorly educated and would accept at face value when someone that sounded credible said that Democrats were to blame for their plight. The GOP took the advice of the Heritage Foundation and ran with it.
