Hard to believe that with 24/7 #Fake News on CNN, ABC, NBC, CBS, NYTIMES & WAPO, the Trump base is getting stronger!

It's "hard to believe" because it isn't true.

But apparently Trump thinks he can improve his poll numbers with delusional tweets that his base is stronger than ever.

I have seen this many times. In the conservative mind, if they believe something that makes it true and if they dont believe something its not true. No matter how much proof or evidence there is because they wont believe the evidence its also not true. Logical minds believe things because they think they are true (logos), conservative minds think things are true because they believe them (mythos).
Example: Theirs is the one TRUE religion. This is why you cant win or even have a logical debate with a conservative, there is no amount of proof or evidence that you can present that will sway their mind because they dont believe the proof. The best you can achieve is "we will just agree to disagree" which means they cant prove you wrong but still dont believe you. I imagine logical thinking like a chain, links connect along the length. If A=B and B=C then A=C. Conservative minds operate in loops which are self contained little stories. If A=B then there is no C. A=B thats it, thats the story no changes.
