But their ads against Republicans in Congress need to be ruthless on an unprecedented level. No.more polite, feel good ads; go for the jugular and expose the greedy, treasonous, hypocrisy of Republicans and make them own everything about Trump. We may not like it, but IT WORKS!
Feel free to used the Soviet hammer and cycle!

(1,301 posts)I do think we need to go after them. I think it's important. Negative campaigning provides positive results.
That said, I really think how negative Clinton went during the last month of her campaign might have hurt her. Not as much as Comey or decades of BS Republican attacks and over a billion dollars spent trashing her, but still a considerable amount. By the end of the campaign this past Presidential cycle I was absolutely sick and tired of Clinton bringing that disgusting pig Trump into my living room. I wouldn't want my child seeing a lot of what was being brought into my house.
We need to be more contentious toward these things. Attack them on issues. Relentlessly. Connect them to everything Trump but keep his vulgar ass out of my living room.

(193 posts)But really now, Do you think the DNC/DNCC will change their playbook and "stoop" to the RNC level and come out guns blazing? I am apparently a glutton for punishment, we will probably hear at some point Dems say "impeachment will set our country back" or some maddening capitulation "for the good of our country" or some similar bullshit. In other words DONT HOLD YOUR BREATH for a unified scorched earth campaign.
