Not sure why they played it, probably because of the lies 'about getting calls from lots of people.'

For those who don't know, the Orange One used to call up reporters as John Miller or John Barron and act as his own PR person.

One of those interviews with 'John Miller' was preserved on tape from 1991. In it he describes getting calls about lots of women who want to go out with 'Trump' but when pressed can't name any:
