I am genuinely alarmed.

The wall on the south. The moves to tighten up reentry by Americans. The tightening of immigration.

They basically are moving to close the borders. One step at a time.

In addition today, it isn't original to Lady Liberty, so it's invalid. You mean like the Bill of rights and the Amendments aren't original to the Constitution?

Today he decided he can make better laws than Congress. You mean we don't need them anymore?

It's one thing to have Ferret head bloviating on Twitter every 5min like a Jr. High schooler. It's quite another to see him putting a military general in charge and making moves to close the borders and get rid of the checks and balances needed to protect our rights.

The man is clearly not sane and the Republicans need to lead in stopping him.

I've never been one for tin foil hats but I sure feel like I 'm wearing one after today's revelations

3. Lead, follow, or get out of the way

They tried to follow, and that didn't work. They can't lead to save their lives. I think they are banking on option three just as long as a majority of them survive.

Making the arrows in the background for chump to fire. I don't credit Trump with the discipline to roll out a logical plan.

I already heard that most likely Congress isn't for it at this point.

I'm alarmed, too. They basically want to change the United States of America into Trumpland, a terrifying prospect.

They think they can reverse recent history and return the U.S. to majority-white status by kicking out the brown people, restricting immigration, and preventing white women from having abortions.

Really--that's their goal. They see recent demographic trends and think they can reverse them with gov't policy. Fascist gov't, of course.

11. We just have to hope that the DNC comes up with a really, really, really compelling message.

Republicans have a clear message, like it or not and many people fall for it.

Democrats don't because they kinda want to do everything for everyone.
There is no focus, just general principals applied to a wide range of issues.

They need to come out with a strong, clear message that will convince ordinary people who don't pay attention to politics that Democrats will help improve their lives immediately.

Policies that will help in a few years or for the next generation won't get people out to vote today.

Those are the only sources of hope.
Used to be courts, too, but I expect trump will have a whole lot of those bases covered very soon.
