Miller accused Acosta of being racist because he didn't believe that other people could speak English too. Like wtf?! Miller's emphasis on immigrants being able to speak English before they arrive is OBVIOUSLY biased and an overtly racist gesture, yet Miller accuses a reporter of racism for asking questions. Miller is disgusting, and he is truly an embarrassment to the country.

How Jim Acosta kept from standing up and punching the shit out of Stephen Miller is amazing to me.

At least Jim Acosta is a journalist who will give them some hell. So many others in the room just sit there and take it. Acosta fights back to the extent that he can. That's why they all hate him.

What exactly is "Statue of Liberty Law of the Land?" I wish Miller would clarify that.

He also uses "Nationalization" when me means Naturalization, and is clearly ignorant of the fact that a fuck of a lot of our collective ancestors arrived here not speaking a word of English.

I also think that Miller doesn't actually know what the word Cosmopolitan means.

I really, really wish Acosta had pointed out that the vast majority of immigrants over much of our history have arrived speaking little or no English.

and so are Americans. Due to immigration over many years and mixed marriages and other factors. We have immigrants elected to our Congress.

The civil rights movement and pro-civil rights Dems back in the 60s were brilliant for reforming immigration back then to make America more diverse. Trump campaigned on this saying before 1965 is when America was great.

Because if they think that Australians, Canadians, the Irish, New Zealanders, and Brits will give up their high living standards and wide-ranging social protections to come to the U.S. as uninsured wage slaves, they've got another thing coming.

Results of one minute internet scan: Approximately 400M people speak English as their first/native language; note that the majority of that 400M would be Americans. Approximately 600M to 700M speak it as a secondary and not all of them are Day Glow white. Probably goes without saying that most of them speak it better than say Sarah Palin.

So, if this is a vile attempt of this racist administration to keep out POCs, ooops.

would have English as either one of its official languages or a recognized one. The Philippines also has English as an official language. Another fast check - 97 nations all up, an official or recognized.

I have the feeling that Trump and his lackeys were the kids who never did their homework, just tried to bs their way through.

from there. The doctors, the scientists and the engineers, whose living standards in India are a great deal higher than the white countries you've mentioned. They also have better social protections, and there aren't racist assholes shooting them because they too dumb to differentiate between anyone who isn't white.

Also, they don't need to come here anymore to start businesses, be on the cutting edge of medicine or scientific research, so perhaps check that redneck racism there about Indians.

Not everyone in India wants to come to the US. Less racism please, and more staying on topic, shrugging doesn't make something ugly and ignorant any less so. This level of ignorance and arrogance should be left to the Stephen Millers of the world, it does not belong anywhere intelligent people with any claims of being liberal, progressive or Democratic congregate.

Does anyone actually possess the hubris to think that everyone desperately wants to come to the states simply because they are ignorant enough to think that the British film Slumdog Millionaire is a documentary?

Or did you actually think that snake charmers and rickshaw drivers were flocking to the U.S.? And given the attention that India has paid to education, a pretty hefty number of people are doctors, scientists and engineers. Travel more, learn things, open that mind, correct the bias.

That which makes up a cosmopolitan includes people from all ethnic groups without which we wouldn't have a Chinatown or Japantown or Little Italy. So yes, I have a cosmopolitan bias because I want to see people from all ethnic groups.
