As lies, contradictions mount, federal officials are deciding to ignore Trump.

CNBC:

Increasingly, federal officials are deciding to simply ignore President Donald Trump.

As stunning as that sounds, fresh evidence arrives every day of the government treating the man elected to lead it as someone talking mostly to himself.

On Tuesday alone, the commandant of the Coast Guard announced he will "not break faith" with transgender service members despite Trump's statement that they could no longer serve. Fellow Republicans in the Senate moved ahead with other business despite the president's insistence that they return to repealing Obamacare. Secretary of State Rex Tillerson said, "we certainly don't blame the Chinese" for North Korea's nuclear program after Trump claimed, "China could easily solve this problem." And Vice President Mike Pence said the president and Congress speak in a "unified voice" on a bipartisan Russia sanctions bill Trump has signed, but not publicly embraced.

"What is most remarkable is the extent to which his senior officials act as if Trump were not the chief executive," Jack Goldsmith, a top Justice Department official under President George W. Bush, wrote last weekend on lawfareblog.com.

RESPECT him? They might think that he is useful to him and there are plenty of ignoramuses in the republican party who are too obtuse to see the depth of his ignorance and stupidity, but do you really think anyone has respect for him when all he does is watch TV, tweet and whine like a little bitch whenever the media calls him out on his lies and ineptitude?

I get why and unfortunately, necessary at this point.

But, our whole system is build around implicit power.

Make no mistake, IF we get past this clownshow and IF the country has the good sense to elect a decent democrat, this will become a precedent that right wingers will use to openly defy the D potus because, you know, satan worshiping, communistic, socialist!

The thought of our military ignoring him were he to want to launch missiles at North Korea is slightly comforting in a dystopian dissociative kind of way. Fuck, what have we come to?!

What a great line. Notably, Trump doesn't complain when government officials casually brush his dumb statements aside. He knows he's a bad little boy, and he knows who the grownups are.

10. As much as I want tRump totally ignored, this is not normal.

Our government is not designed to operate this way. It is utterly and completely dysfunctional. And yet, given the situation we find ourselves in, it is totally understandable---at least temporarily. But sooner rather than later, our congress needs to step up and do what must be done---start the process to remove tRump. He is a real threat to our country, to our economy, to our safety and well being. Whether they do it with the help of Pence to use Article 25 or start impeachment proceedings, trump must be removed and then put on trial for his crimes. He cannot be allowed to get away with the things he has done to the United States and even to the world.

We must not forget that the way things are being done in the Oval Office and the White House are not normal. If we allow this to continue unchecked, we do so at our own peril. I do believe the world is watching us and waiting to see what is done about this predicament we are in. If we are to ever regain respect from the other nations, tRump must be removed. Now!
