(31,131 posts)Sure, there is a mountain of evidence of collusion, even treason if you define it appropriately, in my opinion.
Money laundering, etc.
But unless a STATE brings charges, it is up to the corrupt and no good Jeff Sessions and his department to do it.
I dont see that happening.
I want to be wrong, because if they skate, our laws mean nothing.
Is there an attorney here to explain it to me AGAIN, I forgot already how it works.

(12,344 posts)1) If he is indicted, Mueller will throw the book at him and lay out all the facts, they will be damning and difficult to defend against.
2) They just showed they are unwilling to follow him on Russian sanctions. I am pretty sure the charges will include bribery and money laundering involving Russia. Once they have proof Russia has compromised Trump, are they going to decide it's okay to leave him in power?
3) Trump is already looking like a failed president. Next up is taxes. I think he won't be able to deliver on that too. Then what do they need him for? Pence will start looking awfully good. Alternatively, Trump will get the tax cuts through, and then what do they need him for?
4) Trump's popularity is slowly declining. If it continues to decline they will have less to fear from him.
