Kelly Already Reaching Out to Democrats

https://politicalwire.com/2017/08/01/kelly-already-reaching-democrats/

"SNIP...........

Daily Beast: “Even before he formally started the job, Kelly was reaching out to top Capitol Hill Democrats in hopes of regaining political capital ahead of what is expected to be a bruising fight over tax reform and other administration priorities.”

Said one White House official: “Tax reform is gonna be a heavy lift. No reason to write off/alienate Democrats any more than we already have.”

“A spokeswoman for Nancy Pelosi said that Kelly reached out her over the weekend with the two holding a phone conversation on Sunday. A spokesman for Chuck Schumer… confirmed that Kelly reached out to him as well.”

They might offer a compromise by stabilising the ACA, in return for tax cuts for the wealthy. That OnDoutside Aug 2017 #4

I have little doubt he is going to try to make the white house function somewhat normally. His problem like his predecessors is it is rotten at the top. Only way to fix it at this point is ejecting the person in the big chair. Even then It may still be a problem because the line of succession is not much better.

Bring some bills that are something more than a batshit crazy transfer of wealth to the top. I am quite sure the Dems will jump on board. Of course they won't do that either then will wonder why the Dems don't support it after they talked all nice to them.

you've already insulted every single one of them and offended all their voters. you didn't "write them off", you turned them into sworn enemies.

Democratic opposition is not based on personalities. It is based on political principles. Trump and the Repubs are pushing suck-ass policies, and are complaining that Dems won't buy into them.
