Pocket Veto - The Constitution grants the president 10 days to review a measure passed by the Congress. If the president has not signed the bill after 10 days, it becomes law without his signature. However, if Congress adjourns during the 10-day period, the bill does not become law.

I'm wondering if that's what he's up to - so he doesn't have to explain to his former BFF Putin that he actually signed the thing.

Putin already knows the deal so there's nothing to explain, and he doesn't have the political capital to explain the American public why he won't sign it.

If he has to sign it, then he won't sign until the last minute. It's a toddler's slap at Congress.

I will take the bet that he does sign it.
Why would he want to see the House and Senate overwhelmingly override his veto? The law still goes into effect. That would make absolutely no sense to anyone.

We have no idea what threats Putin and the Russians are holding over him.

If he does sign it wouldn't surprise me a bit if something like the pee pee tape or worse drops not long after.

He'd rather make them look like they're risking a relationship with Russia than let Putin see him helping them.

I'm riding the fence on this one at this point. I am guessing he really doesn't know what to do because he's a dumbass and doesn't know how to get out of this one.

Doesn't he just love to have the cameras filming him signing bills and things? Why miss another opportunity to show off?

Maybe because this is part of his actual job...

Someone should stick it in one of his usual menu/white board folders, round up some lights and cameras, pay some extras to clap and put it in front of him.
