Republicans are intent on reviving the repeal of "Obamacare" because...

...without the repeal of Obamacare, they cannot pass the tax "reforms" they wanted so badly. With the repeal, their plan was to cut about $1 trillion dollars in Medicaid funding and give it back in the form of a taxcut for the wealthy.

They cannot pass their taxcuts without the repeal of Obamacare. That is the bottom line for their obsession on repeal.

1) REPEAL
2) Pay back donors with tax cuts

That is the entirety of the GOP agenda...

Don't be fooled by chatter about "infrastructure" either...their "plan" there is more like kickbacks to the mob than an actual initiative to improve the country's core...

The people who vote for these incompetent, lying asshats are the problem...we are getting EXACTLY what they promise with their empty rhetoric and constant shaming of the poor and the infirm...

is so hell bent on getting this passed, I wonder if he has a voodoo doll of Murkowski to stick pins in and curse? His owners must be very upset with him. Poor Mitch, finally seeing what it is like to have people disobey him. Maybe he should have paid attention to how President Obama fought his way past all their obstruction? McConnell helped the Russians get their puppet into the WH, and thought he had a free ride to destroy the country. Traitors are getting their asses handed to them.

Can you believe I actually had one friend say to me...see how much republicans want to help the American people with their healthcare...they were cheering and celebrating in the Rose Garden after it passed through the House?! They are so happy to be helping the American people!" I said "are you effin' kidding me??! Those cheers and celebration were not that they came up with a healthcare plan to help the American people...those cheers and celebration were for the tax cuts these SOBs are hoping to now get!"

Right wingers are so susceptible to propaganda and brainwashing and their ruling class know it.

And I don't think many of them will change, even if it means that they still live in poverty.

“We’ve had our vote, and we’re moving on to tax reform,” said Sen. John Thune (S.D.), one of Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell’s top lieutenants, speaking of the next big GOP legislative priority.

Sen. Roy Blunt (Mo.), another member of the Republican Senate leadership, put it this way: “I think it’s time to move on to something else. Come back to health care when we’ve had more time to get beyond the moment we’re in — see if we can’t put some wins on the board.”

I don't know why anyone would think it would bother Trump,Turtle and the rest of the Republican cartel. Of course stealing it from dumping the ACA and trashing Medicade would have been easier but the Koch brothers,Walton spawn and Limbaugh will still get their cut.

But there is a very important secondary consideration - Reconciliation can only be used for 1 bill, 1 time a year and only before the budget is approved. This is their only chance to pass the healthcare law without Democrats and they really, really don't want our input or ability to filibuster this at all. They also can't stop the filibuster on taxes, which is why McConnell was so pissed. This indeed does screw the R's on taxes as they won't have the extra trillions they needed to give to themselves and their ultra rich peers a huge gift.

than the zero like they pay now. I hope people can get the truth to the poor people that tax breaks for the 5% do not work and they have never worked. Giving more tax breaks to corporations to all the conglomerates like FUX and Sinclar do nothing to do anything to even create jobs. The energy companies and their refusal to use renewable energies which are less expensive to switch to than they cry and scream like children.

50% of these pillars of industry don't need the obsence tax breaks they recieve.

"Blue Cross and Blue Shield of North Carolina, for instance, is requesting a rate increase of nearly 23% for next year. But it said it would have only asked for an 8.8% bump if Trump and House Republicans agreed to fund the Obamacare cost-sharing subsidies through 2018.

Other carriers no longer want to deal with the volatility and are deciding to walk away from the individual market. Anthem (ANTX), Aetna (AET), Humana (HUM) and other insurers have reduced their footprint or have exited completely."

This is nothing to do with the failure of Obamacare that Republicans LOVE to pimp to anyone who'll listen. It's 100% about THEIR failures and wanting nothing but a fat tax cut for the rich.

Obamacare repeal was actually the first hurdle needed to proceed with the tax cut bonanza. It makes more sense now. Thank you.
