Kelly Is Now Baby-Sitter in Chief......

His job will be to baby sit Trump. Trump won't have it. I think Kelly's tenure in the WH will be short.

I'm really puzzled with Kelly. Why did he even take this job? He's got to be suspicious of Trump. As a lifer in the military - I don't think he'd take lightly to Treason or Trump colluding with Putin and Russia.

So I'm puzzled - is he part of the collusion? Is he part and parcel to this (what I call a coup d' etat)? OR Is he a double agent that has now infiltrated the WH for Mueller? Should Trump watch his back? Should he trust Kelly? Hmmmmm........

Hello from Belgium

It is really heard to be not baffled by what is going on

It looks like strange became the new normality...

May I suggest one thing ? Instead of baby-sitter, I would rather say crazy-sitter.

May have actually Colluded with Russians. Seems "lifer in military" doesn't mean a thing. We will see what Kelly is made of.

It may just be that Gen. Kelly allowed his sense of duty to the country put him in an untenable position. If Gen. Kelly's reputation is to be credited, he won't last long.

Working for the dignity wraith will not sit well with anyone whose character is important to him. I give him two months - at the outside.

Kelly is a Marine general. Generals, especially those who have reached the high levels in the military that Kelly has reached, have pretty substantial egos and they are used to running big, complex operations. They are also used to having their orders followed. I think Kelly thinks he has the skills to put out the dumpster fire that is Trump's West Wing and he's going to be a hero and the receiver of Trump's gratitude and appreciation for setting that mess in order where nobody else could. But this presumes he will be able to control Trump himself, which is unlikely. Trump will love him for awhile, but only until he tries to manage Jared&Ivanka or keep Trump from tweeting nonsense. Eventually Trump will turn on him like he does with everybody.

As soon as he tries to rein Trump in, he will turn on him in a New York minute. I expect that this bromance will be short-lived. Trump will not tolerate anyone attempting to assert control and Kelly won't put up with Trump's childish tantrums. This won't last. I am sure of it.

with a president who is under federal investigation and who has been obstructing justice.

I can believe that Scaramucci didn't care if Trump is guilty of collusion with Russians but is Kelly so sure that Trump is innocent that he would risk his repution?

And the examples of degradation of Mattis and McMasters should give him pause. That McMasters would not answer questions from a congressional committee about his conversations with the president shows That military officers who have been living by a strict code of rules have lost the ability to make ethical decisions.
