I can't see this sorry sack of sh*t making it thru the convention. He's damaged goods. Between the lies about his tenure at Bain Capital, the offshore accounts he refuses to disclosed and being booed by the largest civil rights group in the country - this guy is just a mess. And now that the Boston Globe says they stand by their story (Team Rmoney tried to force a retraction) that means there could be federal charges against Mittens.
I'm guessing that there will be a bigass juicy fight as the delegates start to abandon Mitt like the's the HMS Titanic and they just hit an iceberg.
Who do you think we'll weasel their way in as the nominee.

(20,317 posts)And being booed by the NAACP was something the Romney campaign *wanted*. It was a little red meat for the racist base. The fact that he's still trying to court that base at this late date tells me he's an incredibly weak candidate, but he does have a lot of money behind him.

(52,421 posts)short of the old "dead girl/live boy" exception, he WILL be the republican nominee.
sure he's damaged goods, that's what all the money is for.
lots and lots and lots of media buys and eventually the swing states are only thinking about whatever they want them to be thinking about, rather than bain or sec filings or offshore accounts or whatever.
whatever legal troubles won't run their full course before the election. and in the meanwhile, they'll be able to claim that any investigation / prosecution is a political witch hunt.
i think the stage is perfect for a lukewarm convention that reluctantly nominates rmoney because they can't not nominate him because even the few that like him don't think he has the stuff to win.
but they do think they have a chance of making obama lose, and they have to have someone standing there in case obama loses, and rmoney's it.

(3,596 posts)The Super-PACS will so flood the airwaves, newspapers, etc. that he is likely to win or be very close to winning even if he is a potential felon.
Mark my words. He is going nowhere. The Republicans consider violation of the law a badge of honor (unless it is bringing your child into the country illegally - but hiring an illegal to mow your lawn is awesome).
RMoney and his faux personality with his magic underwear is likely to be a very strong contender for the WH with the Krotch (hee-haw) Brothers and others contribution and funding.
Contributors expect him to deliver
(a) Zero taxes on corporations
(b) Exploitation of U.S. prison populations on steroids
(c) No regulation for health or anything on manufacturers
(d) No regulation of financial services...they ain't never done nothing bad
(e) Repeal of ACA and confirmation of health care for the rich only
(f) War, war, war - it is good for our shareholders
(g) Fags and Lebanians are denied rights - red meat for the base
(h) Encourage states to kill as many criminals as possible
(i) Eliminate Social Security - make those old fuckers work for their paltry salary
(j) Speaking of salary - no minimum salary or benefits
(k) Give old farts a coupon to go to the hospital for treatment...hee-hee
(l) Anoint me asshole in chief forever
(m) Mandatory Mormon Book reading for all school kids
Thank you and goodnight....Love - Mittens
