If this administration succeeded in taking health care in all fashions away, Social Security away, minimum wage away, housing away, any type of assistance away, and education away and resulted in millions of deaths of poor people related in one way or another to those things wouldn't that be considered a form of genocide?

I really don't know.

And yes, calling it legal doesn't make it any less murder.
Some people might not know the difference between a clump of cells and a living person, but I do. (for any "pro-lifers" )
You'll sometimes hear the bullshit comment that republicans and Democrats want the same things, just disagree on how to achieve it.
If republican actions kill people - is that what Democrats want too?
I don't think so.
You send people to war, you know they could die. That's one thing.
You take away food, shelter, heat, and health care from people and they die - you don't get to pretend you didn't know that would happen.
And judging from the comments of many republicans about those most affected by the GOP callous indifference, they don't get to pretend it wasn't their intentions to begin with.

(115,615 posts)"The deliberate and systematic extermination of a national, racial, political, or cultural group." I don't think the repeal of all social safety net programs would fit that definition because it would not be the intentional extermination of a particular group like the Holocaust or the genocide of the Armenians by the Turks or our government's maltreatment and killing of Native Americans; but I believe it would be the willful neglect of the entire society in violation of Article I, section 8 of the Constitution, which grants Congress the power to "lay and collect Taxes, Duties, Imposts, and Excises, to pay the Debts and provide for the common defense and general Welfare of the United States."
