The Russian model is their model too. All the money is kept at the top; the middle class is wiped out and moves to the bottom. So the ones in power now will continue in power; along with Russia, they get to make all the rules. And the rest of the country, the masses, will languish at the bottom and fight for scraps.

Time will tell though. It's no longer a fair playing field (gerrymandering, etc.) so some of us do have our doubts.

An encouraging word? You start. I don't have one. The country may not be "over" yet but it is most definitely in a shit spiral downward.

...but his supporters consider him a patriot. The like Trump being allied with Putin, who kills nasty journalists. They hope the next Justice will get rid of the "baby-killing" supported by Obama and Hillary, stop gay marriage and "make America white again." They don't say it in the same words as I do...

He's not at all concerned about Russian influence & in fact thinks that Russian values align with his own - anti-gay, anti-feminist, anti-minority, in other words, straight white men should rule. It's alarming, that at a time in human history when we should be focused on how to combat climate change, we have a group of (mostly white) men throwing global temper tantrums, because they are threatened by diversity. I'm sad to say I have some in my family & everyday they continue to support the Con, I dislike them a little more.

represents white male strength (or something) to them so they like him and therefore don't seem all that concerned about hacking or any of Russia's other highly problematic activities. I do think though that things will change if /when "hard" evidence is released and if/when Meuller comes to the conclusion that something did indeed happen.

Fox has been utterly desperate to make people forget about the Russia probe so they keep saying over and over and over that "Trump is moving on" etc. It is so transparent and pathetic. Oh, and now Putin is going to help us! See, all fixed! /s
