When do the cuts for Medicare and Medicaid go into effect? I though it was 2020 so the effects will not be evident before the midterms

(12,679 posts)they might extend it to 2021, just to keep their base in line enough to solidify Rove's "permanent Republican Majority".
They'll probably hope that by that time, we would be in the midst of a low level "civil war", all the minorities and liberals would have been rounded up and put in prisons or camps, and the GOP elite can scrub all social programs and establish the Fascist oligarchy they've been salivating for since Harding/Coolidge.
Under-educated, subservient poor people will just work for crumbs, and disappear before they get too "burdensome" to be replaced by their equally subservient spawn, the disabled and troublemakers will be warehoused until they die off, and the rich folk can live the perfect life that Ayn Rand envisioned for them 80 years ago.
To the hard right Randriods, there's about 200 Million more people than there needs to be in this country, and the GOP has a plan to take care of that. The plan is a social Civil War followed by Economic Eugenics. Winner take all.

(6,423 posts)This bogus bill is dead on arrival, as it should be.
Trumpcare doesn't really exist yet, the current poison pill doesn't have merit.
Single Payer is the only thing that should do, and politicians are to tied to their donors' pockets to allow anything reasonable,
so sadly expecting more silly fighting over it.

(13,262 posts)In fact, it will be retroactive.
Nothing could be clearer about this bill.

(32,733 posts)who will take Trump's place (hopefully!). Then they'll feign outrage and take back the house in 2022. SMFH @ the collective stupidity in this country!
