Obama raised $71 million in June--$35 million less than Mittens

President Obama's re-election campaign announced that it raised a combined $71 million in June with the DNC and various state parties. This compares to $106 million by Mitt Romney's campaign.

Byron Tau: "To recap, that's a $35 million gap between Mitt Romney and Obama in June -- and a sign that the Obama campaign may continue to be outraised all the way until November."

Right now, the spending by both has been pretty equal--but eventually--watch out--Romney is going to saturate the airwaves with anti-Obama ads. Having seen what happened in Wisconsin during the recall where Walker was on air constantly--this is a big advantage. I hope the Obama campaign is buying ad time early for the critical October campaign period.

No matter how much money he gets, it still won't make republicans like him, and the more they get to know him, the less they like him. While I know the negative ads worked for Romney in the primaries, you have to look at the miserable candidates the voters had to chose from. While he may rally his brain dead base with negative ads a whole lot of republicans just won't be won over. If team Obama continues to get the message out on Mitts record, his time with Bain and jobs he outsourced, the plants the they closed down, and the huge amount of money He made "killing jobs, and let us not forget his offshore bank accounts, Romney is till un-electable and that is what is going to really count come November.
