TB Cover-up in Florida slowly getting more press.

What happens if you're facing the worst tuberculosis outbreak the CDC has seen in 20 years? If you're Florida Governor Rick Scott, it involved covering up the fact, signing laws shrinking the state's Department of Health, and shutting down the hospital where TB cases had been treated for the past 60 years. London is “the TB capital of Europe”, The Daily Telegraph has reported. The newspaper says that Britain is now the only nation in Western Europe with rising levels of tuberculosis, with more than 9,000 cases diagnosed annually. In London, where 40% of UK cases are reportedly diagnosed, the number of cases has risen by almost 50% since 1999, up from 2,309 in 1999 to 3,450 in 2009.

The Guardian has also discussed the rising prevalence of the disease, which was detailed in a report on the modern TB situation in London, as well as the UK as a whole. The report’s author, Professor Alimuddin Zumla of University College London, attributes the rise to people living under “Victorian” conditions, with poor housing, inadequate ventilation and overcrowding in certain deprived areas of London.

Professor Zumla has also observed that the increase in TB cases has been predominantly among people born outside the UK, but who appear to have been infected here, rather than in their country of origin. He has called for the implementation of a London-wide strategy to help control the disease.

Even if that isn't true, that's what they will say.

This will get swept right under the rug where it came from.

History, please prove me dead fucking wrong. Make me eat those words.

He did the OPPOSITE of his DUTY to protect his constitutents from harm.

He's guilty of Criminal Negligence and failing to cooperate, in fact dismantling the protections for vunerable adults in the presence of a clear life threatening event.

<snip>
The CDC issued a warning that tuberculosis was linked to 13 deaths, and 99 illnesses in the state and over 3,000 exposed in homeless shelters in the Jacksonville metropolitan area.

ANY DU Lawyers have a better grasp on this than I do? It is common sense, but what in the Governor's oath or his proscribed duties has he technically violated?

This man sickens me to no end. And he closed the only TB hospital right here in Palm Beach County. He's a psychopath - like most Repukes I see now! This is the "Let them eat cake" for our times. "Just Let them die"
