CBO Devastates Republicans As Trumpcare Would Leave 51 Million Without Insurance

Source: PoliticusUSA, by Jason Easley

The CBO report is out on the House passed Trumpcare bill and the news is a nightmare for Republicans, as the CBO concluded that the number of uninsured in America would jump to 51 million under The American Health Care Act by 2026.

The CBO reported, “CBO and JCT estimate that, in 2018, 14 million more people would be uninsured under H.R. 1628 than under current law. The increase in the number of uninsured people relative to the number projected under current law would reach 19 million in 2020 and 23 million in 2026. In 2026, an estimated 51 million people under age 65 would be uninsured, compared with 28 million who would lack insurance that year under current law. Under the legislation, a few million of those people would use tax credits to purchase policies that would not cover major medical risks.”

14 million Americans would lose their insurance in 2018 under Trumpcare. That number would jump to 19 million by 2020, and 23 million by 2026. Instead of moving the country towards 100% coverage, Trumpcare will increase the number people without health insurance to 51 million.

Trumpcare and the Republicans who passed it both have got to go.

I am so tired of these Dems stating that only 24 million people who will suffers. Everybody but the richest getting this tax break, this GOP wealthcare masquerading as healthcare, will be threatened and emmiserated.

Everybody gets sick and incurs a precondition, the cost of long term care insurance is prohibitive for most, so when you (and your children and grandchildren) get old you will need to depend upon will need Medicaid for nursing home care as did their parents and grandparents before, and no one with employer provided coverage is safe once employers can buy junk policies across sewer state lines, especially since GOP Crapcare takes away requirements for basic coverage (eg,surgery, prescriptions, hospitalizations, medical tests) as well as the protections of lifetime caps on your insurance costs.

The Dems have got to start saying these things clearly and immediately in every interview: Use the right number (53 million without insurance, everybody else with inevitable Crap insurance) Explain that everybody except the highest 1% for whom this is designed as a trillion dollar plus tax break, are losing their right to comprehensive and available insurance security in order to give this trillion to the 1%.

And finally that this GOPcare is so shitty that the GOP Congress has voted themselves out of it and onto a Obamacare type coverage all at taxpayer expense. So Ryan and the Republicans in the House have voted to take away Americans' health security and Obamacare but are forcing to us to pay taxes to give them Cadillac coverage, in fact we are probably also paying for their long term policies for future nursing home care.

Please, I'm begging our Dem representatives, ABF... Always Be Framing!

constituents should ask what is the final number of uninsured they're hoping to reach. Clearly, they have a numerical goal in mind and they should share it with us.

This is the brick wall that's about to drop on them. It's also their mess. We're out of power and can't be expected to clean it up, not this time.

They want the tax surcharge from the ACA on the wealthy back. In order to make their plan at least revenue neutral (for reconciliation) they needed some creative accounting and the ability for insurance companies to offer non-comprehensive bare bones policies. They obviously do not care about healthcare of their non-wealthy constituents.

Expect them to tout the "savings" and "access" to insurance. Bullshit as usual.

I understand full wall that some people are looking at the "deplorable" and thinking that they are going to get exactly what they voted for. However, as satisfying as that thought is keep in mind that we are in that same boat. Between now and 2018, and yes the next presidential election, and yes every local election by the dogcatcher on up,, we are going to have to convince these people that Trump screwed them. Do not try to use logic like you just walked off MSNBC, make it personal, "you went out on a limb for Don and he screwed you! You went on a limb for Trump and he gave his Wall Street buddies a tax cut."

I knew damn well he was going to go after EVERYTHING he "promised" that he wouldn't. All the people around me in my personal life ( except my boyfriend ) kept telling me I was wrong and it would never come to that. These are people who voted for Hillary by the way. No one believed he was going to attack Medicare but hey in my world I am just a learning disabled person who can not figure out anything out.

If we hold each and every one of these repugnant drones responsible by making them defend this bill at every turn.

We need to pack townhalls, write letters to the editor, call in to local radio shows and ask: " representative Douche nozzle; How does shoving 23 million MORE people out of the health care system, make America great?"

Make to assclowns wallow in their own shit!
