(1,214 posts)We live in Charlotte, I can walk down the street and see the Duke Energy building.
In May 2011, we averaged 31 KWH per day, and our total bill was $92. I made some changes to improve our energy use and this May, we only averaged 24 KWH per day (roughly 22% less).
So, what was our power bill for May 2012? It only went down to $87, which is roughly a 5% savings.
Oh I get it now! They raised the rates BECAUSE of those pesky energy efficiency measures... they have to pay enough to attract such talented executives, after all.
